Hello hello, fellow random ppl and friends...yes SURPRISE...an entry.
Right now im enjoying the crazy heavy fog thats been forming in Toronto, I have never seen such heavy...and when i say heavy i mean HEAVY fog, if you happen to have gotten up early Saturday u will know what i mean. Its the strangest thing, I mean in england we get fog, sure, but not to the point where you cant see anything ahead of you....interesting...!
SO Work is well, afew weeks back some of you may know, i got a recognition award at work, I was very chuffed!! (it means "Pleased" if u are wondering....lol) It's getting busy and it looks as though I will be working on Boxing Day, since we deal with U.S Business, Boxing day isn't a stat holiday there. But it's ok cos i Have the week before christmas off, yay! It's pretty good at where I work, abit if bribary doesnt hurt no one...lol jokes...haha no we all have "seasonal" stocking given to us, they are personalized too, and we basically get goodies throughout dec! hehe cool. oh and they feed us lots of choclates and free coffee...or so I hear...!
The past weekend went to Buffalo, Ididnt buy as much as i would have liked, i think we missed the Thanksgiving sales. But i did get some warm boots, whch were $65 incl tax, and here in canada they are $129.99 plus tax. so a good deal i think I did absolutely nothing sunday morning and afternoon, stayed in a chilled, i was so tired, and then in the evening dave and I went to see Casino Royale....now I didn't want to see this cos i thought the guy just wasnt Bond material but to my surprise it was a very good movie and he is somewhat charming, meaning very good acting!
I had a chat with my older brother simon online, which was nice. I do miss home sometimes, and i do miss the city. and stores like Selfridges, TopShop, Debenhams, River Island, DOrothy Perkins....ahh shopping.
ANyhoo..thats all from me for now....! Hope all is well!
Am I stuck in a rut? i know u cant answer that for me, but i cant even give myself an answer.
Right now im feeling annoyed, frustrated. I feel kinda small, abit insignificant you know the small things that mattered to you are not so important no more cos well the small things phase out i guess. We all get comfy and forget about the small things that 'count'. Hey dont say that hasnt happened before, im pretty sure it happens to everyone including me. We have it done to us, and we've done it to other ppl. Whats the term for it? Taking things for granted.
Feeling kinda off, the girls and I, meaning Jeannie and Martha, kindly gave me their sweet company and enjoyed a good ol' afternoon drink on Saturday. 4 Vodkas and 7 on an empty stomach sure did the tricks. (also considering my alchohol tolerance is now lame) , and when i got home i konked out for about 20 mins til dinner was ready and after the dinner was on the couch watching tv and konking out here and there. Totally not with it, but it was sure sweeet. I ended up watching a chinese movie at 9pm, on channel 14, managed to stay up for the whole thing then went to bed. That day felt like it never happpened, almost felt like i slept through the day cos i was so drained, so tired.
Today was a better day. It's true when they say, "there's always tomorrow". Im still feeling blah. Maybe its the weather. I think maybe it's the October blues i'm having!!??! lol...
Meh anyways....reading someone elses blues and sorrows makes ppl feel better cos they thank god they're not that miserable person. (you know it's true ) So i hope my weekend blues I have had has somewhat made some of u feel better after reading this blog...lol
Well good afternoon all...What a week, i have been so busy at work, it's not even funny, but then saying that it was enjoyable. I hope though that the schedule will change for next week though!
Work sure has been good to me. On Wednesday we had a free lunch from work, a little thank you, there was pop, lots of different kinds of wrap, and the most about of cookies!! yum!! On Thursday we had a work appreciation evening party, it ran from about 4 til 8 only, but it was held at the Docks!! hahaha interesting place, but in the most out of the way spot possible. But it was also weird being in the big club with co workers. So corporate-ty....!!??? But hey I must admit, the food was super fab, there was chicken, beef (which of course i didnt touch), Salmon, potatoe salad, bread rolls, cold noodle salad, stir fry veggies, assorted cakes and cookies, and fruit and a tables of assorted cheese & crackers. yum ! oh and we got 2 tickets for 2 free drinks yes alchoholic drinks. But 2 sure wasnt enough.
ANyways so that was interesting....
Last night a bunch of us spent the evening with princess Jeannie for her bday LOL, started out in KAMA for dinner, not bad in there, buffet Indian food. Yummmmy!!!! We then headed out to Yuk Yuk's for some comedy, man ok it was a good show but there were afew comedians who just didnt quite catch the crowd. But there were for sure 2 guys who were super funny left me crying with laughter. I mean most of u know how i do my eyeliner, well lets just say that the flicks i usually have, had dissappeared by the time i came out of the comedy club.It was a real nice evening and I hope the birthday girl enjoyed it too
Oh and totally different subject i miss a good ol' british pub, you know, i miss the british pub food, and a drink or two, at around 1pm on the saturday. There is something so nice and relaxing about that.
Thats it for me. Im so tired and worn out. pissed off, and tired some more. Stay out of my face if u know whats good for you. LOL! just kidding, but it's always good to get heads up.
It's cos im bored and have nothing else to do on a sunday late afternoon, the weather is gloomy...which u think would make me feel at home, but nope.
ANyways, my excuse for not updating in so long is because i cant be bothered to come on the net after work since having stared at one cos 8 hrs prior. Plus dave hogs it so by the time i can check it, i cant be bothered. (thats probably why u dont see me on msn that much no more)Work has been good, i now finally have my own ext. # and my own comp etc. yes it's taken almost 3 months to wait for it, but it's ok. The only thing im waititng for now is my flat screen to be delivered which should be next week some time. yay!
So friday, went to Debbie's flat and watched Rusell Peters new DVD, with Warren, Debbies, Luis, Jeannie, Martha, jon and Andrew. Definately recommend the dvd, it's very funny, so funny u will be crying. I think dave and i must ahve got back about 1ish or so, we were both sooooo tired. Ive had such a long week at work. yesterday dave and I went to Vaughn Mills, for some shopping. we didnt get anything though. Sucks when u cant spend the money when u had planned to. It's always the way ironically. We pretty much stayed in the rest of the evening and chilled. Today went to church at 10:30, then lunch, dave wanted to go to michaels to pick something up and whist i was there, i managed to cut my finger, and it bled. nice. Luckily i had plasters/band aids in my bag.
Anyhoo, nothing else happening tonight for me, probably gonna watch smallville season 5 on dvd. yeah i have a thing for it. Come on.... good looking guy like Tom Welling who plays Clark, and the hot chick who plays Lena....i mean worth watching just for that. LMAO.
Well most of u may know i have been ill the past week and abit. not nice. Started last Tues when i got back from New York, i had the slightest sore throat which got worse and worse. The weekend kinda had a slight fever but felt ok, went to work this week on Monday and Tues and the throat just got more croaky and nasty. Wednesday i kinda lost my voice in the morning and didnt feel good atall and same with Thurs, thats when the runny nose started. YUCK! I thought i felt better on fri despite the running nose and constant coughing. Went to work and went home at 1pm. I dont know where it comes from all the snot...like it wont stop!!!!!. I used a whole box of tissues. gross. Today. Sore nose from all the blowing. and the coughing is still as bad but doesnt hurt as much. Sigh* what a week. Worst cold i have had for a long time. Anyways and due to me being ill and staying in as much as possible. i have finally uploaded some pics!
